Meet Our Coaches

Mitchell Thiessen

Mitchell has recently returned to the Fraser Valley after graduating from Rocky Mountain College in Montana on a fully paid golf scholarship, with a Bachelor of Science (Major in Sports Management and a Minor in Exercise Science). Mitchell was a member of the NAIA conference championship team during all five years of his time in Montana, winning two college tournaments in his senior year, and a best place finish of 29th at the NAIA National Championship his sophomore year.

Mitchell has been a life-long lover of golf and was a member of many winning teams during his junior years in numerous Provincial, National and International golf championships. Highlights include an Individual Silver Medal and Team Gold Medal at the BC Summer Games, Team Gold Medal at the BC Juvenile Boys Championships and Chilliwack Open Amateur Champion. Mitchell was also part of CJGA Team Canada participating in the Aaron Baddeley International Championship in China, the Euro Junior Open in Scotland, and the North America Cup in South Carolina.

Mitchell is currently working towards his Class A PGA Canada certification.

Ryan has been sharing his love for golf for 26 years. He began his career at the Okanagan G.C. (formerly Quail Ridge), then on to Vancouver Island where he worked 3 years at Arbutus Ridge while completing his 3 year “Professional Golf Management” program. He then worked 1 year at Gorge Vale where he had the opportunity to teach and hone his club-fitting skills. He completed his Class ”A” credentials while on the Island and in 2000 moved to the lower mainland to teach full-time. There he taught at local driving ranges, gaining in experience teaching everyone from beginners to scratch golfers until he was able to open his own indoor golf facility in Abbotsford. After 5 years he decided to take a temporary leave from the golf industry, but when he was given a chance to work at his favorite course he jumped in with both feet. Ryan’s motivation is to share his love for the game of golf. Learning is made easy with emphasis on the student and their enjoyment, both during the lesson and beyond.

30-minute Lesson: $45

Junior Lesson (1hrs): $50.00

1 Hour Lesson: $90.00

Playing Lesson (1hrs): $115.00

1 Hour Group Lesson (3-4 People): $140.00
