History of the the Tournament
The Ivan Pretty Charity Scramble is held in remembrance of the founder, Ivan Pretty, who passed away in 2001. Mr. Pretty operated a number of businesses including Pretty’s Timber Ltd (originally developed by, his father, Charles Nelson Pretty), and developed Hemlock Valley Ski Resort, Snowcap Lumber, and Pretty Estates Resort.
Why Enter?
As a participant, you will receive one tournament green fee with a shared cart, a W/D practice round or comeback round (valid until June 30th, 2019), buffet dinner/ on course drink and hot dog ticket, tee gift, and there will be amazing prizes to be won!

The 15th Annual Ivan Pretty Charity Scramble was held on Monday September 11th, 2017. The tournament honoured the life of Ian Maw, long time Director of Sales and Marketing at the Harrison Hot Springs Resort and Spa. Ian Maw passed away on Monday July 3rd 2017, shortly after being diagnosed with Amyloidosis. Proceeds of the tournament were donated to help fund research at Stanford University for the illness, Amyloidosis, that shortened Ian’s life.
The 14th Annual Ivan Pretty Charity Scramble was held on Monday September 12th, 2016. The tournament benefited  Fraser House, a non-profit, charitable organization that provides non-residential counselling and prevention service for anyone with concerns around substance use, including youth and adults.
The 13th Annual Ivan Pretty Charity Scramble was held on August 31st, 2015. The tournament benefitted Zajac Ranch, a provider of camps for children and young adults
 with chronic, life-threatening and/or debilitating conditions. These experiences give participants the opportunity to explore the outdoors while developing greater social and environmental awareness, increased self-confidence and positive growth in attitudes towards physical activity.
The 12th Annual Ivan Pretty Charity Scramble was held on August 25th, 2014. We raised $9,391.90 to support the Mission Hospice Society.
The 11th Annual Ivan Pretty Charity Scramble was held on August 26th, 2013. We raised $13,855.39 to support the Abbotsford’s Holmberg House.
